A Toastmasters club in downtown Washington, DC
If you think you might want to try Toastmasters but would like to know what you are getting into, we invite you to pay us a visit and see the club in action! You'll see how every member is involved in every meeting, how the program really works, and just how supportive and encouraging we are.
You will have an opportunity to speak as well! We ask guests briefly to introduce themselves and tell us who they are and why they've come. At the end of the meeting, we ask you to give your overall impression of the meeting.
If you're serious about getting better at public speaking -- or even getting started in public speaking -- Capital Toastmasters I is the club for you!
We ask every prospective member to visit the club as a guest at least TWICE before deciding to join. You are welcome to visit us once at no cost to you. After that, we'll ask you for five dollars to cover the cost of your lunch.
We meet at the American Bar Association, 1050 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 5th Floor in Washington, DC. To schedule a visit, or would like more information, please contact our Vice President/Membership, Ron Barrett, by clicking on his name. Please contact Ron to arrange a visit -- no drop-ins allowed due to security requirements.
You may have to wait several weeks for your first visit. If you're interested in other clubs in the neighborhood, we recommend Treasury Silver Speakers or Monumental Voices.
